Digital Signature Certificate (DSC)

Overview

A Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) is the electronic equivalent of a physical signature used to sign documents digitally. It is required for filing forms with MCA (company incorporation, annual returns), GST registration, income tax filing, e-tendering and other electronic filings with government portals.

Types

Identity Verification

DSC is issued after identity verification through Aadhaar-based video verification or in-person verification. The certificate is stored on a USB token.
